[VIDEO] Indian Fans Touch KL Rahul’s Feet To Show Respect; See What Rahul Did Next

India cricketer KL Rahul has earned a huge amount of respect from the fans since his return to action last year. After a hernia injury suffered during the IPL, Rahul made a bumper return in the Asia Cup 2023 and was the middle-order backbone of the side during the World Cup 2023.

He carried that form into his return to Test cricket and slammed a memorable century in the first Test against South Africa in Cape Town.

Upon returning to India, Rahul went out for looks like dinner at a restaurant. Coming out of the place, KL Rahul was greeted by some of his fans. Two fans went to the extent of touching the feet of the 31-year-old cricketer. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media.

Rahul got shy and took a step back quickly. He then clicked photos with the fans before proceeding toward his car.

On the South Africa tour, KL Rahul also led India in the ODI series, which India won 2-1. Rahul had spoken with the broadcasters about the online trolling and abuses he and other cricketers get, even from their own fans when they don’t perform well or get injured.

The wicket-keeper said that fans’ mood and their words change according to the performances on the field. From getting abused during the IPL to getting praise in the World Cup, Rahul faced it all.

“It is difficult obviously,” Rahul. “You have your own personality, personality traits, characteristics. When you play international cricket, they all get challenged. As a person, as a cricketer, as an individual, you are challenged each day, each moment. Social media is a pressure. Today I have scored a hundred so people are singing praises. Three-four months ago, everybody was abusing me. It’s part of the game, but I can’t say it doesn’t affect you; it does. The sooner you realise that staying away from it is good for your game and your mindset the better it is.”

KL Rahul will next be seen in the Test series against England at home.
