IPL 2023: According to former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, Tim David and Cameron Green, both of Australia, will be the trump cards for Paltan this season.
Gavaskar, a former Indian batter, believes that the Australian team of Tim and Green will be the secret weapon for Mumbai Indians in the forthcoming Indian Premier League 2023 season. After their disastrous 2022 performance, Paltan will be searching for atonement. They are hoping that Cameron, their most recent high-profile acquisition, can contribute immediately.
Before to the 2023 season, Australian All Rounder was acquired by the MI for a whopping Rs 17.50 crore. He is anticipated to succeed Kieron Pollard, who retired from the Premier League. David may be the team’s game-changer, according to Sunny, who was discussing the makeup of MI for the 2023 season.
“I think it (game-changer) will be Tim. He is the kind of player who can change the game in a couple of overs,” Sunny said on Star Sports.
“Cameron Green is someone who will make a big difference with bat and ball. He might even bat at No. 3 because when he has opened the batting for Australia, he has scored so many runs so quickly,” he further added.
After an extended recovery from several injuries he endured over the course of the previous two years, Jofra Archer is also anticipated to play for Mumbai in the upcoming event. Gavaskar named his MI abroad lineup and emphasised the importance of Jofra, David, and Green for the team.
“The four overseas players will be the big signing Green, another big signing in Jofra Archer. David, three. And then depending on the form of opposition, either Tristan Stubbs or Dewald Brevis,” Gavaskar concluded.
Indian Premier League starts on March 31, 2023.
