GT vs RR: Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals are all set to lock horns in the 23rd match of the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. This is for the first time that Gujarat is taking on Rajasthan in the ongoing season of the Tata IPL.
The Hardik Pandya-led side is currently placed in the third position in the IPL 2023 points table, having won 3 out of the 4 games they have played so far. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals is currently sitting at the top of the table with 3 wins and 1 defeat.
Both teams are coming into this game riding on a win in their previous games. While Gujarat defeated Chennai Super Kings in their previous game by 6 wickets, on the other hand, Rajasthan Royals played their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad and they won that game by 3 runs.
Interestingly, both franchises faced each other in the final match of the previous season of IPL. It will be interesting to see which team will win tonight’s match.
Sandeep Sharma, Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ravi Ashwin will be the players to watch out for in the RR camp. Meanwhile, coming for the toss ahead of GT vs RR, Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Sanju Samson: “We are looking to bowl. Boult is coming in place of Jason Holder. Padikkal is playing if he gets to bat, I am not sure. We’ll keep learning about it (impact sub). I’d like to score some runs today.”
Hardik Pandya: “It has been a belter so far. It’s a good toss to lose, don’t mind batting or bowling first. For us, it’s important how we use it (impact player). We’ll use it only when required. Forced change, Vijay Shankar isn’t playing. Abhinav comes in for him. It’s my home state, lot of love, everyone comes here and supports us, exciting.”
