Tempers flared up between Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana and Mumbai Indians off-spinner Hrithik Shokeen after the bowlers dismissed the left-hander. The fight between them took an ugly turn with both the players using terrible, abusive language toward each other.
Nitish Rana, in particular, was looking very angry with something being said by Shokeen.
The two teams met at the Wankhede stadium on Sunday afternoon for a mouth-watering clash.
Shokeen dismissed KKR Skipper on the first ball of the 9th over of Knight Riders innings. The left-hander skipped down the pitch but Shokeen had slowed it down. Rana went through with his big shot down the ground but found Ramandeep Singh at long-on.
As he was turning to starting walking toward the KKR dugout, Shokeen passed near him and said something, as so it appears. The KKR captain turned around and responded with a few words of his own.
Within seconds, both the players bore angry, furious looks and were hurling abuses toward one another with Nitish Rana being very animated in his wrath.

Both have reportedly some history. Both Rana and Shokeen play together for Delhi in domestic cricket and didn’t have a good time togther. It has been learned both didn’t speak even when they batted in the middle together for Delhi and there were reports of their tussle in the Delhi dressing room. Hence, this quarrel on the field, in the IPL stage, took place between Shokeen and Rana.
Meanwhile, Venkatesh Iyer‘s brilliant century, a score of 104 runs off 51 balls, has helped KKR reach the total of 185. In reply, MI got off to a blistering start from Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan with a thunderous 65-run opening stand off 4.5 overs. After Rohit got out, Kishan continued on his attack and recorded his fifty of the season, scoring 58 runs off 25 balls.
Earlier Suryakumar Yadav had won the toss and elected to bowl first.
