“A Ten Times Better Person” – Harbhajan Singh Makes A Big Statement On Rohit Sharma

Indian captain Rohit Sharma is currently leading the Indian cricket team in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series. Under his leadership, team India handed over an embarrassing defeat to Australia by n innings and 132 runs in the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Nagpur.

Sharma played a captain’s knock and led the batting unit by example as he chipped in with 120 runs including 16 fours and two sixes. It was his maiden Test century as captain. Rohit’s ninth Test ton helped team India India seal a memorable win.

Harbhajan Singh Recalled The Memories With Rohit Sharma

With Rohit leading the team from the front, former Indian cricketer Singh spoke at length about the rise of the Indian opener in world cricket. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Singh recalled his first meeting with Rohit Sharma and revealed that the Mumbai batter used to seat behind his seat on the team bus. He said:

“I’ve known Rohit Sharma for a long time now. He joined the team for the first time at the T20 World Cup in South Africa. He used to sit behind my seat on the team bus. I still remember him talking in Mumbaiya style, saying things like ‘kaisa hai re tu?’ and ‘kaisa hai shaane?’. He is a very sweet guy,” 

Rohit Sharma Gives Hysterical Advice To Harbhajan Singh

It was in 2022 when Rohit Sharma succeeded Virat Kohli as India’s full-time captain. The veteran opener recently became the first Indian captain to smash centuries in all the formats of the game. Speaking about the brilliance of Rohit, Harbhajan said:

“When I saw him, I knew that he was going to go a long way and that he would be one of the top batters in world cricket. We all know the kind of stature he has now as a batter and as a captain. He is a good batter but a ten times better person,” 

Harbhajan Hailed Rohit’s Brilliant Captaincy Skills

Impressed with the captaincy of Rohit, Singh also made a huge statement. Singh pointed out that Rohit is the most successful captain in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and also hailed Dhoni and Rohit as two of the biggest leaders in international cricket. He said:

“Rohit Sharma has been the most successful captain in the history of the IPL. There is no bigger captain than MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma. He has won five trophies, which is a big achievement. Yes, he has always had a good team with him, but the manner in which he leads the team is unbelievable,” Harbhajan concluded.

Talking about the ongoing 4-match Test series against Australia, the Rohit Sharma-led squad will take on Australia in the upcoming Test match at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi in order to get hold of the top spot and to book a spot for them in the World Test Championship Final.
