However, the main thing that is being discussed in the cricket world right now is whether India will travel to Pakistan for the Champions trophy 2025. India has not toured Pakistan since 2006 and has also not played any bilateral series with them since 2012-13. The Indian Government has been resolute in their stance with Pakistan. Team India will not be allowed to travel to Pakistan or play a bilateral series against them until they stop funding cross-border terrorism.

Team India did not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023 as well. Pakistan was the official host for the event. BCCI wanted a hybrid model and they got it. India’s matches were played in Sri Lanka, with the final being held there as well. As per sources, the Indian Government will not give permission to the Indian Cricket Team to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. So, BCCI are pushing for hybrid model  in this event as well. Meanwhile, PCB have proposed for all of India’s games in Lahore with the final being held there as well.

He was poked  by former Pakistan cricketer, Tanvir Ahmed, and challenged that India can’t deny coming to Pakistan for an ICC event. Singh vented out his anger and stated that he is taking his challenge and India will not send their players to Pakistan if they are not safe there.

Harbhajan Singh said, “If our players are not safe in Pakistan, we won’t send the team. If you want to play, play; if not, don’t. Indian cricket can still survive without Pakistan. If you guys can survive without Indian cricket, then do it.”
