The star all-rounder led India’s aggressive batting display as he played a stellar knock of 33-ball 51, registering his maiden half-century in the T20I format. His stunning knock helped India post 198 runs for eight after they opted to bat first.

Hardik Pandya Achieved A Big Record

After giving an amazing performance with the ball, Hardik Pandya finished the game with excellent figures of 4/33, as he destroyed England’s batting with his full quota of four overs.
All thanks to his fantastic performance, Pandya won the Man of the Match award for his all-around effort. Not just this, Hardik Pandya also achieved a significant milestone in his career. Pandya became only the fourth player from full member nations to score a fifty and take four wickets in a T20I match.
Talking about the game, Hardik’s all-round show helped the Indian side defeat England by 50 runs. The England side was bowled out for 148 runs in 19.3 overs. Moeen Ali was the top scorer with 38 runs from 20 balls. The rest of the England batters simply collapsed before a devastating attack from the Indian bowlers.

Apart from Hardik Pandya’s four-wicket haul, debutant Arshdeep Singh also impressed everyone by claiming two wickets in his first match for India. Earlier, Rohit Sharma (24 off 14 balls), Deepak Hooda (33 0ff 17), and Suryakumar Yadav (39 off 19) set up a good base for the Indian side before Pandya registered his maiden fifty.
The second T20 international will be played in Birmingham on Saturday. India is leading the three-match series 1-0.
