Amla is a brilliant ODI batsman and he has been chasing Virat Kohli’s records. On Thursday, in an ODI against West Indies, he did the same as he became the fastest to 23 ODI hundreds.
Hashim Amla scored a brilliant hundred (110) to guide his team to a huge total of 343 runs against West Indies. Amla took only 132 innings to score his 23 ODI hundreds while Kohli reached there in his 157th innings. Amla is now the fastest batsman to score 23 ODI hundreds. Amla batted brilliantly on a good batting wicket and gave a very aggressive start to South Africa, which in turn allowed batsmen like AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis and Chris Morris to launch and finish aggressively.
