India will have to make do in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 without the likes of their primary fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah as the latter copped a stress factor in his back and was ruled out of the tournament. Now due to obvious reasons, the Indian fans weren’t particularly happy.
They believe that Bumrah was the best weapon that India had and somehow completely forgot that there are much better options in the arsenal who can totally change the complexion of the game.
Here are three reasons why India can win the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 even without Jasprit Bumrah.
#1 The King is back
For the last three years, Virat Kohli has struggled to get his strides right and that has impacted India massively. To set things right, he took a month-long break from cricket and when he came back, his bat spoke differently in the Asia Cup and the domination stitched by him was nothing short of legendary. The kind of strokes played by Virat Kohli and the temperament shown by the former Indian captain is a downright indicator of doom for the oppositions. If Virat gets going, it is very seldom that the opponents will walk out unscathed.
#2 India still has a variegated pace attack for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022
Believe it or not, even without Bumrah, India has sensational bowling options in their ranks. Bhuvi may have been a touch expensive in the Asia Cup and the following series against Australia but the kind of experience that he brings to the side, no one can parallel that. More importantly, he can swing the new ball, which is a menace for any batter in Australia. Add to Bhuvi, the brutal pace of Arshdeep Singh and you would know why Team India is still a viable contender for the silverware. Also, imagine the addition of Shami to the mix. The batters won’t be walking unscathed.
#3 The duo of Mumbaikars in the middle
Past and present of Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav have been a terror to the bowlers since the South African series and the kind of form that they bring to the platter makes them a combined menace for the oppositions. We have seen the kind of damage that these two can pull off together and if the duo does get going in their own rampant way, it’s sweet dreams for the oppositions.
