South African and former Chennai Super Kings spinner Imran Tahir has extended his support to the MS Dhoni starrer side ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Tahir, who was recently seen playing for Multan Sultans in the PSL, has been a regular part of the Chennai Super Kings. Over the years, he became an integral part of the team, however, he did not play much in the last couple of seasons. In the IPL 2022 mega-auctions, Tahir went unsold as he failed to find any bid from the franchises.
Meanwhile, ahead of Chennai Super Kings’ first game of IPL 2022, Imran Tahir took to Twitter and has extended his support to his former team. In his Tweet, Imran Tahir wished the new captain Ravindra Jadeja for this first game and said that he will be supporting the yellow army throughout the season. He wrote:

Imran Tahir has been excellent with his performances in the T20 leagues around the world. He scalped 16 wickets at an economy of 6.47 for the Multan Sultans. He also played his stint in the Hundred last year, whereas he was also brilliant in the T10 league as well.
In the Indian Premier League, Tahir has scalped 82 wickets in 59 games he played at an economy of 7.76. IPL 2019 turned out to be the best season for the star bowler as he scalped 26 wickets at an economy of 6.69. However, this time the bowler will be cheering for the yellow-army from home as he went unsold at the auctions.
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings was quick to notice the Tweet from the veteran bowler and came up with an amazing reply to his Tweet.
