IND vs NZ: Virat Kohli Gets A Grand Welcome By Raipur IAS Ahead Of 3rd ODI

From the general public to government employees, everyone is a massive fan of Virat Kohli. For the man with the second-most international centuries has been the backbone of Indian batting over the past decade and ruled the hearts of billions across the globe.

Virat Kohli, who now has hit 46 ODI centuries and is only 3 behind the great Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of 49 ODI tons, was greeted by a special dignitary as he reached Raipur ahead of the 3rd ODI against New Zealand.

Raipur, which is the capital city of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, will play host to Team India and New Zealand for the second ODI of their ongoing series, to be played on Saturday at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.

As the Team India members, including Virat Kohli, touched down in Raipur, the renowned IAS officer Awanish Sharan, who is known for spreading motivation by sharing his own story and other examples on social media, greeted the 34-year-old former India skipper.

IAS Awanish Sharan welcomed King Kohli with a rose flower. Delighter upon meeting Virat Kohli, IAS officer Awanish Sharan took to Twitter to post a picture of this event.

“Welcoming King Kohli in Raipur (heart emoji),” IAS Awanish Sharan captioned his Twitter post that has gone viral in quick time.

Virat Kohli had slammed two ODI centuries against Sri Lanka to start off 2023 in a stylish way, however, he was bowled by Santner for only 8 runs in the first ODI vs New Zealand.

India aim for series victory, New Zealand look for series parity in Raipur

Shubman Gill’s splendid double hundred helped India win by 12 runs in Hyderabad, even as Michael Bracewell’s stunning century (140 off 78 balls) almost pulled off a heist.

In the second ODI, Rohit Sharma’s team will aim to clinch another home series – India haven’t lost a home series since March 2019 – while the Kiwis will aim to stop the Indian juggernaut for one more match and level the series.
