David Warner is one of Australia’s best batsmen across all three forms of cricket and all eyes will be on him in the upcoming 4-match Test series between India and Australia. Warner has been in brilliant form for Australia and Australian cricket fans would be hoping that he fires at the top of the order and give them a good start in what many believe in going to be a very difficult series for the Baggy Greens. India are the number 1 Test team in the world and they have been unbeaten in the last three Test series they have played at home.

India’s biggest strength at home in Test cricket is their spin bowling and Australia have always struggled against quality spin bowlers in India. Ravichandran Ashwin will be the biggest challenge for Australian batsmen and a big part of the buildup to the series has been around India’s ace offie.

In an interview to India Today, David Warner said that he has to respect a player like Ravichandran Ashwin. The southpaw added that he has a game plan and he will try to bat against Ashwin’s strength.

“I have to respect a player like Ashwin. He thinks like a batsman and I have to be disciplined against him. I have a game plan for him – I have to bat against his strength. He is going to be ready for me and we both have to adopt to the situation. It’s going to be a great battle for the both of us. I have to bide my time,” David Warner told India Today.

David Warner has a very good record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and he would bank on his experience to do well in the upcoming Test series. Warner led Sunrisers Hyderabad to victory in the ninth edition of IPL and this is the biggest reason why he would be much more confident than most of his teammates. India has never been a happy-hunting ground for Australia and this year it is going to be tougher than ever as Virat Kohli’s men are in brilliant form and very high on confidence.
