Mohammad Rizwan Is Also Facing Backlash For Mixing Religion And Politics With Cricket
It has to be noted that Mohammad Rizwan has created quite a controversy with his recent tweet, where he dedicated Pakistan’s victory against Sri Lanka to Gaza residents after the ongoing Hamas terror attacks killed more than 1,300 Israelis.
Mohammad Rizwan, who managed to score a century in the game against Sri Lanka, took to his social media after the game and dedicated the country’s win to people in Gaza. He wrote:
“This was for our brothers and sisters in Gaza,”
He also thanked the Indian audience and added, “Extremely grateful to the people of Hyderabad for the amazing hospitality and support throughout.”

However, the tweet didn’t go down well with the fans and experts, who slammed him for interjecting politics into the game. Several people took to their social media and slammed the Pakistani cricketer for using a mega platform like the World Cup to promote his political and religious ideology.
But this isn’t the first time that Rizwan has found himself at the receiving end of criticism for mixing politics and sports.
In fact, Rizwan is infamous for fusing politics, religion, and sports. He recently caught the spotlight when he started offering Namaaz on the cricket field during the second half of the game against the Netherlands during the drinks break while his teammates awaited drinks. While several fans expressed their disappointment at him for mixing religion and sports, on the other hand, Pakistani fans and several cricketers took it as a matter of pride and reacted as if he had conquered the world.
