IPL 2022: 10 Best Memes On ‘PBKS vs RCB’ Game

‘PBKS vs RCB: Punjab Kings have strengthened their chances of sneaking into the playoffs with a comprehensive 54-run win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday at the Brabourne Stadium.

With such a massive margin of victory, Punjab, who have 12 points in 12 matches, have got their nrr into positives while RCB, who have 14 points in 13 matches, see their nrr nosedive to -0.323 and now their playoff fate is not totally in their hands as even if they win their last game, they could still be knocked out.

Having been asked to bat first on a flat surface, PBKS got off to a rollicking start from Jonny Bairstow, who finally got into his groove this season and hammered 66 runs from 29 balls.

Bairstow’s powerplay assault was followed by Liam Livingstone‘s thumping in the second half of PBKS’ innings. The in-form Livingstone muscled 70 runs off 42 balls and propelled Punjab’s final total to 209, which RCB couldn’t even come close to, let alone chase it down.

Virat Kohli, coming off a golden duck vs SRH, looked good for his short stay. He got going with a couple of fours off Arshdeep Singh and a six to Harpreet Brar but Kagiso Rabada dismissed him on his second ball.

RCB skipper Faf du Plessis managed just 10 runs and while Rajat Patidar (26 off 21) and Glenn Maxwell (35 off 22) kept RCB alive with their lusty hits, they couldn’t carry on for long and succumbed under pressure.

RCB’s hero this season, Dinesh Karthik, was their last hope of salvaging their nrr but DK too had an off night getting out to Arshdeep for just 11. Rabada, Rahul Chahar and Rishi Dhawan cleaned up the rest of the batters and have given a strong boost to their campaign.

Memes galore as RCB lost by a big margin with their bowlers being clattered around the park and their playoff chances dropping down significantly.
