Bollywood actor and director Farhan Akhtar posted a special Tweet for batting maestro Virat Kohli, who gave a stunning performance against Gujarat Titans on Thursday. Virat Kohli, who was going through a rough patch in his career, came again all odds and stepped up for his team and delivered it when it mattered the most.

Virat played a stunning knock of 54-ball 73 to guide his side in an eight-wicket thumping win against Gujarat Titans on Thursday at the Wankhede Stadium.

Virat smashed some mesmerizing shots, that were no less than sight for the sore eyes. He drove the incredible cover drives, played the straight drive, and kept on ticking the scoreboard in the flurry of his spectacular strokes that kept RCB alive in the tournament.

He stitched a 115-run stand with RCB captain Faf du Plessis to set the tone for the chase of 169 runs. However, Faf was soon dismissed by Rashid Khan in the 15th over of the game.

But Virat ensured that his side didn’t suffer any early setbacks as he took the responsibility of anchoring the chase for his side. He was dismissed by a stunning delivery from Rashid Khan. Kohli’s knock was laced with 8 fours and 2 sixes.

Ahead of the game last night, Kohli was struggling with the bat with 236 runs in 13 innings at 19.67 and a strike rate of 113.46.

In his Tweet, Farhan Akhtar wrote how Virat’s performance against Gujarat was the ‘bomb’. He also expressed how King Kohli inspired him by his knock. He wrote:
