IPL 2023 Full Schedule: On Friday, the BCCI announced the schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 schedule. The 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League will get underway on March 31 with defending champion Gujarat Titans facing Chennai Super Kings in the opening match at the Narendra Modi Stadium at 7.30 pm IST. All teams will play seven home and seven away matches.
In IPL 2023, the much-awaited tournament will be played across 12 venues including the likes of: Ahmedabad, Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati, and Dharamsala.
Gujarat Titans Will Lock Horns With CSK In Opening Clash
While the opening clash will be between Hardik Pandya‘s Gujarat Titans and MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings at the biggest cricket stadium in the world in Ahmedabad, the five-time champions MI will play their first match vs Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 2 M Chinnaswamy stadium. The other big clash will be between MS Dhoni’s CSK vs Virat Kohli’s RCB on April 17 in Bengaluru.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) will play their first two home games in Guwahati before playing the remainder of their home games in Jaipur.
Talking about Punjab Kings (PBKS), they will play their five home games in Mohali before moving base to Dharamsala for the last two home matches against Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals respectively.
Notably, MS Dhoni will be playing his last home game on May 16 at Chennai vs Kolkata Knight Riders.
The teams for the Indian Premier League 2023 have been divided into two groups:
Group A: Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants
Group B: while Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans
While the BCCI has released the schedule of the Group stages, the fixtures for playoffs and final will be revealed later.
