Lucknow Super Giants defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in a thrilling contest at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday. The thrilling clash went till the final ball of the game, with the result going in favor of the KL Rahul-led side.
Riding on the stellar knock of Nicholas Pooran, LSG chased down the target of 213 runs in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Pooran played a thrilling knock of 19-ball 62, which was laced with 4 fours and 7 sixes. In the process, he smashed the fastest fifty of this season.
All thanks to this win, the Lucknow side finally opened their account in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Gambhir’s Celebration Went Viral
After LSG secured their first win, LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir was seen celebrating aggressively. Several videos and pictures of his celebrations have been going viral on the internet. In fact, in one of the videos he can be seen silencing the Chinnaswamy crowd with his finger on the lip celebration.

Virat Kohli And Gautam Gambhir Shared A Warm Hug
However, moments later, the duo met each other in the dressing room and even shared a warm hug. The pictures of the same were shared by the official handle of Lucknow Super Giants with a beautiful caption. Notably, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have faced each other in many high-voltage matches in the previous editions of the IPL. Now Gambhir, who retired from the IPL after the end of the 2018 season, is working as a mentor for Lucknow Super Giants.
