IPL 2024: Fans Troll Sanjay Manjrekar For Disrespecting Rajasthani Women With ‘Back To Serious Business’ Comment

Veteran commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has once again found himself in the firing line of the fans for his remark during toss at the RR vs RCB match on Saturday evening at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

After being lambasted by fans for his “Behave” comment to the Wankhede crowd a few days ago, Sanjay Manjrekar apparently disrespected the women empowerment initiative by Rajasthan Royals for the women in Rajasthan.

Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals started the initiative ‘Pink Promise’ to help the women in the rural areas of Rajasthan. RR have promised to employ a certain number of solar lamps in Rajasthan for every six that will be hit in the RR vs RCB match.

Sanjay Manjrekar mentioned the same at the toss where Sanju Samson was present with a local woman and made the gesture of taking over the solar lamp from her and giving it to the opposition captain, Faf du Plessis. After the ceremony by Samson was completed, Manjrekar made a disrespectful comment against the initiative by RR.

Before asking Samson to roll the toss, Sanjay Manjrekar said, “And now, back to the serious business of flipping the coin in the air.”
