Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta and Virender Sehwag launched the Kings XI Punjab’s jersey for the eight edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL8). In an event held in Mumbai, Preity Zinta and Virender Sehwag unveiled  the jersey and also announced continuation of Kings XI Punjab’s association with Tata Motors Prima for the second consecutive season.

Virender Sehwag, who is the senior most member of the franchise, expressed his delight over Kings XI Punjab’s association with Tata motors and said:

“I think the first good thing is that we have Tata Motors on board and as Preity rightly said that they joined us last year and we reached the finals so they are lucky for us so thank you for that.”

Virender Sehwag also spoke about Kings XI Punjab’s good show in the last edition of the IPL. When asked about this year’s game plan, Sehwag, who is been sidelined by the national selectors, said that the team will plan the strategy when they get together after the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

“We did well last year and this year we are hoping to do better than last year so hopes and expectations are there. We will discuss the plan and strategy when the team gets together in Pune after the world cup ends, but I am looking forward to this year’s IPL8,” Virender Sehwag said.

Indian Premiere League season eight (IPL8) is schedule to commence on April 8 and Kings XI Punjab have one of the most strongest squads on paper. The likes of Virender Sehwag, Glenn Maxwell and David Miller make a very power-packed batting order and they would be hoping that Kings XI Punjab do even better than the previous year.
