Jay Shah Presented The Golden Ticket For ODI World Cup 2023 To Superstar Rajinikanth

After Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah presented superstar Rajinikanth with the ‘Golden Ticket’ for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

The BCCI made the announcement of the same via their official X(formerly Twitter) account with a picture. The picture showed Jay Shah giving the golden ticket to the iconic star of the nation who is ‘the true embodiment of charisma and cinematic brilliance’. Sharing the picture, the BCCI wrote a beautiful message dedicated to the legendary actor. The tweet read:

“The Phenomenon Beyond Cinema! 🎬
The BCCI Honorary Secretary @JayShah presented the golden ticket to Shri @rajinikanth, the true embodiment of charisma and cinematic brilliance. The legendary actor has left an indelible mark on the hearts of millions, transcending language and culture. We are thrilled to announce that Thalaiva will grace the @ICC @cricketworldcup 2023 as our distinguished guest and will light up the biggest cricketing spectacle with his presence. 🌟 #GoldenTicket”

Notably, the 72-year-old superstar actor was seen cheering for India in one of the ODIs in Mumbai earlier this year in March. Earlier, the BCCI also presented the golden ticket to Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar.

Meanwhile, the ODI World Cup 2023 is all set to be hosted by India from October 5th to November 19th, 2023. The tournament will see ten teams, including the likes of Australia, England, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and New Zealand, locking horns with each other at the marquee tournament

India will start their World Cup campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8. The much-awaited India vs. Pakistan clash will take place in Ahmedabad on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
