Kane Williamson led the New Zealand cricket team won the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship after defeating the Indian cricket team by 8 wickets after a high-voltage thriller.

After Kane Williamson led the New Zealand cricket team to victory, Virat and Kane shared a warm hug after the final. The image went viral in no time and left everyone in awe of their friendship.
Recently, in an interview with India Today, Kane Williamson talked about the warm hug the duo shared after the final. Talking about the same, Williamson said that he has known Kohli for a long time and both of them are close mates. He said
“Virat and I have known each other for a long time and we are mates. It’s always a great part of sports as you get the opportunity to meet people all around the world and form different friendships,”
He added:
“Different experiences that you have either together or against each other. And often you find a bit of common ground and share a few common interests,”
