Exiled England batsman Kevin Pietersen has expressed his desire to play against the England cricket team during their tour of Australia next week.

England, before the start of the triangular series against Australia and India, will face a Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra on Wednesday as a warm-up to the tri-series, and Pietersen, who is playing Big Bash League in Australia, has said he is keen to replace Mike Hussey, who has withdrawn from the match due to a calf injury.

“In the Prime Minister’s game on Wednesday, Mr Michael Hussey’s missed out. Jeez, I fancy that,” Kevin Pietersen said on the players’ mic during a Big Bash League match.

Former Australian cricketer Adam Glichrist, who was commentating, asked:

“Are you telling us you’re available?”

Pietersen replied: “Mate, I’m always available.”

Pietersen, who came down heavily on the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and some of his former teammates in his autobiography, spoke to the Australian media and said he was the victim of professional jealousy.

Kevin Pietersen was sacked by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) after the last Ashes series down under, and since then, he has been in the news for his aggressive and anti stance against the ECB and some of his former teammates.

Earlier, Pietersen had expressed his desire to be a part of England’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2015’s squad, but there was no way he was going to get picked after what he wrote about the ECB in his book.

In a press conference with the Australian media, Pietersen, once again tried to settle scores with his former teammates saying some of them were jealous of him because they couldn’t get a good Indian Premier League (IPL) contract, while he was making a lot of money through IPL.

“The England lads – too much jealousy. I was the only one profiting – very, very well – out of India and in an auction, if you don’t get picked up, it’s pretty demoralising,” Pietersen said.
