Bollywood megastar Suniel Shetty turned 61 on Friday, August 11. Known for his brilliant and versatile work in movies like Border, Mohra, and Hera Pheri, Suniel Shetty is one of the most beloved actors in the country.
That was once again evident with the huge amount of love and wishes he received on social media for his 61st nameday.
One special wish came from his doted son-in-law, the India cricketer KL Rahul. KL Rahul married Suniel Shetty’s daughter, Athiya Shetty, at their farmhouse earlier in January this year.
The 31-year-old India and Lucknow Super Giants cricketer who is currently rehabbing at the NCA in Bangalore after his thigh surgery in a bid to be fit in time for the upcoming Asia Cup, took to Instagram to pen down an emotional post for his “Inspiration and Protector” who is his father-in-law, Suniel Shetty for his birthday.
Rahul posted a cute picture of him and Shetty, embracing each other in a warm hug.
He captioned the post: “Happy birthday to my inspiration and protector @suniel.shetty,” with a heart, hugging face, and smiling face with Halo emojis.

KL Rahul to undergo fitness test on August 18 to determine selection for Asia Cup 2023

There is a cloud of uncertainty over the fitness of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who is also at the NCA rehabbing after a back surgery, and their participation in the Asia Cup.
KL Rahul is reported to have made good progress and he will undergo a fitness test on August 18, the result of which will determine whether he’s declared fit to return to international cricket for the Asia Cup or not. For, Iyer, though, the chances look unlikely at the moment.
Rahul sustained a thigh injury during the IPL and has been out of action since then. He was designated wicket-keeper batsman at number 5 position in the absence of Rishabh Pant. If KL Rahul is not fit, it will pave the way for Ishan Kishan to be selected in the XI in the Asia Cup and Sanju Samson would then be picked as the backup keeper.
