List Of Batsman Who Have Scored A Match-Winning Six On The Last Ball Of An IPL Match – Hitting a six on the last ball of the match to win the game for your team is a dream for any player. But not many get to live it or could grab their chances when put under extreme pressure of winning a game on the absolute last ball of the match.

To seal the deal on the final delivery of the game, the batter needs oodles of confidence, a calm temperament, and, it goes without saying, power and timing to send the ball over the ropes.

The IPL has, since its inception, provided multiple last-ball thrillers every season. Some of these thrillers have been won by the chasing team with the batsman smashing a six.

5 Batsman who hit a match-winning six on the last ball in IPL:

MS Dhoni

Of course, MS Dhoni’s name is the first that comes to mind when we list out some of the incidents of a batter winning an IPL game with a six on the last ball. But, this feat of Dhoni, in the 2016 IPL, didn’t come in CSK shirt, because the Yellow franchise was banned for the 2016 and 2017 seasons; playing for the Rising Pune Supergiant, Dhoni smashed two sixes in the last two balls against Punjab’s Axar Patel to seal a dramatic win. Pune needed 16 runs in 3 balls, and Dhoni went 4, 6,6, finishing with 64* (32).

Rinku Singh

The latest entry in this list is of KKR’s Rinku Singh, who is now a favorite among the Indian fans. In the IPL 2023 match between KKR and Gujarat Titans, KKR needed 28 runs in the last 5 balls, and Rinku Singh proceeded to smash pacer Yash Dayal for 5 sixes in a row to seal one of the most famous and unbelievable wins in IPL history.

Abdul Samad

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abdul Samad became a hero for his team with a last-ball six against Rajasthan Royals’ Sandeep Sharma during their high-scoring encounter in IPL 2023. But it came with a lot of drama and luck for Samad.

With 5 needed in one ball for SRH, Sandeep eked out a dot, but he had overstepped. On the free hit delivery, Samad whacked a straight six to record a jailbreak win.

Rashid Khan

In the IPL 2022 encounter between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rashid Khan delivered the killer blow against his former IPL franchise, this time with the bat. With 15 runs required in the last four balls, Rashid walloped three sixes in four balls, including two in the last two, against Marco Jansen to seal one of the most thrilling victories in the IPL.

Rahul Tewatia

Rahul Tewatia likes to play against the Punjab Kings. After his epic knock in the IPL 2020 for RR against PBKS in Sharjah, Rahul Tewatia won a game for Gujarat Titans against PBKS in IPL 2022 with two sixes in the last two balls against Odean Smith.
