The World Cup 2023 Final will be contested between India and Australia on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India defeated New Zealand in the semi-final while Australia defeated South Africa.
In the World Cup 2023 Final Australia will be eyeing their 6th ODI World Cup trophy and India their third.
India have kept an unchanged playing XI for the past 6 matches and they are expected to play the same XI players in the World Cup 2023 Final against Australia. The Indian line-up includes some of the biggest names in world cricket and all of them are IPL stars and most of them have features in an IPL final as well.

Captain Rohit Sharma, finisher Suryakumar Yadav, and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah are multiple-time IPL winners with Mumbai Indians and have great experience playing and winning big finals with huge stakes.
Virat Kohli – RCB
Virat Kohli has played three IPL finals with RCB, but he’s lost all three of them. However, Kohli featured in the 2011 World Cup final and the 2013 Champions Trophy final, both of which India won. So the 34-year-old has decent experience of winning ICC finals. Kohli is also the leading run-scorer in the World Cup with 711 runs.
Shreyas Iyer – Delhi Capitals
Shreyas Iyer has played one IPL final in his IPL career – the 2020 IPL final in Dubai against Rohit’s Mumbai Indians. Iyer was the captain of the Delhi Capitals franchise then. DC lost the final to MI.
KL Rahul – RCB
KL Rahul has played one IPL final – in 2016 for RCB against SRH, which RCB lost.
Ravindra Jadeja – CSK, RR
Ravindra Jadeja has won multiple IPL titles – with Rajasthan Royals in 2008, and then with CSK in 2018, 2021, and 2023.
Mohammed Shami – Gujarat Titans
Shami was part of the KKR squad that won the 2012 IPL. However, Shami didn’t play in the final. Shami has featured in the last two IPL finals – for Gujarat Titans in 2022 and 2023 IPL finals. GT won the final last year and lost this year.
Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj – 0 IPL finals
Kuldeep and Siraj are the only two players in the Indian team that have not played a single IPL final. Kuldeep, though, was part of KKR’s 2014 IPL winning squad.
