"Bilkul Risk Nahi Lene Ka": Mayank Agarwal Trolls Himself After Flight Incident

Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal, who also captains Karnataka, is being careful about his health while flying. After getting very sick last month from drinking water from a pouch during a flight, he now brings his own water bottle when traveling by air.

Agarwal’s ordeal began on an Indigo flight from Tripura to Delhi. Shortly before takeoff, Mayank accidentally consumed a harmful substance, thinking it was water. He immediately felt discomfort and a burning sensation, leading to an urgent trip to a hospital in Agartala. Symptoms included stomach pain, mouth ulcers, and swelling, indicating ingestion of a hazardous substance.

Following his health scare, Agarwal filed a police complaint via his manager to investigate how the harmful substance came into his possession. This incident raised questions about his safety and highlighted the need for better protocols.

Agarwal missed the next Ranji Trophy game against Railways but returned for the match against Tamil Nadu. He also played in their final league game against Chandigarh.

After the match against Chandigarh, Mayank posted a picture of himself with his water bottle, on his Instagram story, quoting a famous line from the Bollywood comedy “Hera Pheri,” starring Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Bipasha Basu, and others. His caption read, “Bilkul risk nahi lene ka re baba.”

Meanwhile, after completing his matches in the Ranji Trophy, Agarwal will likely join Sunrisers Hyderabad for the IPL 2024 preparations. Despite the team spending INR 8.25 crore on him in the auction, he hasn’t performed consistently enough to secure a spot in the playing XI. Although there were rumors of him leaving the franchise, the team management has decided to keep faith in him. This IPL season is crucial for Agarwal as it could significantly impact his T20 career.
