Kaif, a 27-year-old cricketer from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, made his List A debut for Bengal against Jammu & Kashmir on February 27, 2021. Despite not being selected in the IPL 2024 auction, Kaif has demonstrated promise in domestic cricket for Bengal, gaining support from his brother Mohammed Shami.

Shami, who is an established fast bowler in the Indian National Team, played a crucial role in Kaif’s development by providing guidance and training during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Kaif’s commitment is reflected in his stats, with 12 wickets in 9 List A matches, showcasing his potential for future growth in his cricketing career. Inspired by his elder brother’s success, Kaif aims to make his mark in the sport.

Talking about Mohammed Shami, he couldn’t participate in India’s tour of South Africa due to an injury. The fast bowler is likely to make a comeback during IPL 2024, and it’s unclear if he will be ready for the T20I series against Afghanistan, starting on January 11.
