Video: Mohammed Siraj Bowled An Unbelievable In-Swinger To Jos Buttler

Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj has been on fire with the ball in the IPL 2023, and in particular, in the powerplay with the new ball. 7 of his 13 wickets in the tournament so far have come in the first 6 overs.

And the latest one in this list is the big scalp of RR’ lynchpin, their best and in-form batter, Jos Buttler. With the wicket of Jos Buttler, Siraj, with 13 wickets in the season so far, joined Arshdeep Singh as the leading wicket-taker in the tournament.

Siraj rocked up the M. Chinnaswamy stadium by dismissing that big fish, RR’s main man, Jos Buttler, castling his middle-stump after he’d come out in the tall chase of 190.

It was Siraj’s brilliant wobble ball that swung in a little bit, pitched on length outside offstump, before seaming in sharply to go through the bat-pad gap, breaching Buttler’s defense and rattling the middle stump, knocking the middle pole out of the ground.

No sooner had the middle-stump been uprooted that Mohammed Siraj went on the famous “Siuuuu” celebration of Cristiano Ronaldo with the Chinnaswamy going beserk in the background, and so did Virat Kohli.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli had a forgettable outing today as he was dismissed for a golden duck by Trent Boult, swinging in and lbw out. After a colossal partnership between Du Plessis and Maxwell, RCB kept on losing wickets and eventually finished with 189.

Teams:

RR (Playing XI): Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson(w/c), Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jason Holder, Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal

RCB (Playing XI): Virat Kohli(c), Faf du Plessis, Mahipal Lomror, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik(w), Suyash Prabhudessai, David Willey, Wanindu Hasaranga, Mohammed Siraj, Vijaykumar Vyshak
