The Delhi Capitals kickstarted their 2023 IPL 2023 campaign on Saturday as they took on the Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow. The Capitals are led by Australia’s star batter David Warner, in the absence of regular captain Rishabh Pant, who has been ruled out of the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League as he continues to recover from injuries sustained in a car crash.
Rishabh survived a severe accident last year however, he has since been away from the action. He is currently recovering from multiple injuries and could miss a large part of India’s cricketing calendar this year.
Meanwhile, as DC and LSG take on each other, the Delhi Capitals side has won everyone’s hearts with their heartwarming gesture for their CAPTAIN Rishabh Pant. DC has put the jersey of Pant in their dugout as a tribute to their captain.

Earlier, ahead of the Delhi Capitals vs Lucknow Super Giants clash, Rishabh took to his Twitter and posted a special message for his side.
Well, ahead of DC vs LSG, the Capitals posted a tweet asking fans to name their DC XI against Lucknow Super Giants. Pant took to his official Twitter handle and shared a heartwarming response that left fans emotional. He wrote: “I am 13 th player coz of impact rule otherwise would have been 12 th man 😊😊😊❤️”
