Rohit Sharma IPL Runs & Stats- Year-by-Year (Batting & Bowling) –

When the IPL first began in 2008, Garvin Gilchrist of Australia coached the Deccan Chargers, where Rohit Sharma made his IPL debut. Rohit played in the middle of the order for the first three years of his IPL career and also provided off-spin bowling.

With the help of 40 half-centuries and one century over the course of 15 years in the IPL, Rohit has amassed 5879 runs at a strike rate of 129.89 in 222 IPL innings. He ranks third in the competition in terms of runs scored, trailing only Shikhar Dhawan (5746) and Virat Kohli (6411).

Rohit has been the Mumbai Indians’ top scorer with 4709 runs in 178 innings and a strike rate of 129.51. He has six IPL championships to his name, five with MI as their captain and one in 2009 with DC.

Bowling Stats

During his first three seasons with the Deccan Chargers, Rohit would roll his arms. Of his 15 IPL wickets, 14 were taken for the now-defunct team. Rohit Sharma’s bowling performance during the 2009 IPL season, when he took 11 wickets in 12 innings while maintaining a 7. It’s interesting to note that during that season, Rohit scored a hat-trick against the Mumbai Indians, with Abhishek Nayar, Harbhajan Singh, and JP Duminy falling to the part-superb timer’s 4/6 spell.
