VIDEO - Nicholas Pooran Smashed The Longest Six Of IPL 2024

Nicholas Pooran continued his impressive performance in IPL 2024 on Tuesday (April 2), delivering another crucial innings for Lucknow Super Giants in their ongoing match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Nicholas Pooran Smashed The Longest Six Of IPL 2024

In his IPL 2024 debut, Nicholas Pooran delivered an unbeaten knock of 64 runs against Rajasthan Royals. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, Lucknow Super Giants lost the match by 20 runs. In the following game, Pooran scored 42 runs as Lucknow Super Giants secured a victory over Punjab Kings, marking their first win in IPL 2024.

Continuing his stellar form, Nicholas Pooran contributed a valuable unbeaten 40 runs to help Lucknow Super Giants achieve a total of over 180 runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. At the end of the 18th over, LSG were struggling at 148 for 5, making the 180-run milestone seem improbable.

However, Pooran’s explosive batting in the last two overs turned the tide. He smashed five sixes in total, including three off Reece Topley in the 19th over and two off Mohammed Siraj in the final over, guiding his team to a formidable total.

One of Nicholas Pooran’s sixes during the 19th over was an incredible 106-meter strike. This colossal hit came off a short and slower delivery from Reece Topley, bowled outside the off stump. Pooran, displaying immense power and timing, waited on the back foot before unleashing a brutal shot over deep mid-wicket, sending the ball soaring onto the roof of the stadium with no mercy.

Nicholas Pooran’s massive 106-meter six not only showcased his immense power but also put him on par with Kolkata Knight Riders’ batsman Venkatesh Iyer for the longest sixes in IPL 2024. Interestingly, Iyer had also smashed a 106-meter six against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the same venue, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
