“Our 49 Is Safe”: Top 10 Memes On RCB After Sri Lanka Bowled Out For 50 Runs

In the Asia Cup 2023 final, it was a complete annihilation of the Sri Lanka batting order by the Indian pacers, especially Man of the Match Mohammed Siraj, who recorded figures of 6/21, which is now the 4th best bowling figures by an Indian bowler in ODIs.

India bowled Sri Lanka out for 50 runs in the Asia Cup final.

It was Jasprit Bumrah who started the procession by taking the first wicket in the first over of the match, and it was Hardik Pandya who took the last three Lankan wickets. But, in the middle, it was Mohammed Siraj’s dream spell that made all the noise and will be remembered for a long time.

Bowling 7 overs on a trot, which is already a rare feat in ODIs for a fast bowler, Mohammed Siraj finished with figures of 7-1-21-6 and produced an outstanding display of swing and seam movement bowling. His second over included a record-equalling 4 wickets in an over. He ran through the hosts’ batting line-up with utter domination, stunning in silence the capacity home crowd assembled at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

While as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 50 runs, it led to memes of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who were bowled out for 49 runs in the 2017 IPL by KKR, which remains the lowest IPL team total yet.

Here are the funniest memes on RCB after Sri Lanka were bowled out for 50 runs:

Speaking in the mid-match break, Siraj said “Feels like a dream. Last time I did the same against Sri Lanka at Trivandrum. Got four wickets early, couldn’t get the five-for. Realised you get what’s in your destiny. Did not try too much today. I have always looked for swing in white-ball cricket. Did not find much in the previous games. But today it was swinging, and I got more wickets with the outswinger. Wanted to make the batters drive.”
