Indians fans had come in large numbers to watch the PAK vs AUS fixture in the World Cup 2023 on Friday at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
This being one of the important encounters between two strong teams, the Chinnaswamy Stadium got filled above 70 percent capacity, even about 80 percent some might say, by evening when Pakistan’s innings began. Of course, most of them were Indians, a decent amount of Australians, and a few Pakistanis were in attendance.
During Pakistan’s innings in the PAK vs AUS match, there were huge chants of ‘Jai Shree Ram’ from the Indian fans present at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The chants of the Hindu god Rama reverberated loudly in the evening when Pakistan openers Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq were batting.
A video has gone viral on social media in which fans can be heard chanting ‘Jai Shree Ram’ as Pat Cummins runs in to bowl to Imam-ul-Haq at the start of the 9th over of Pakistan’s innings.

Meanwhile, as it had been expected, a high-scoring game is on the cards. Australia piled up 367 runs for 9 wickets as David Warner scored 163 and Mitchell Marsh scored 121. However, through brilliant death-overs bowling from Shaheen Afridi, who took a 5-wicket haul, and Haris Rauf, who took 3 wickets after being belted in his previous spells, Pakistan made a comeback and they’d feel they could chase down this target, which at the moment seems only par for the pitch, ground dimension and dew in consideration.
Pakistan have gotten off to a solid start from Imam and Shafique as the pair has scored 131 runs in 20 overs.
