Pakistan Cricket Team gave their nation immense joy by defeating arch-rivals India in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017. In the last 10 years or so, India have had the better of Pakistan, and it was a big moment for the lads in green to change the things around. And, on the big day, they did exactly what their fans would have hoped for.
They outplayed India in all three departments of the game and took home their first ever ICC Champions Trophy silverware.
Earlier, it was reported that the Pakistani team got a cash prize of INR 14 crores and India being runners up received INR 7 crore as cash prize. Apart from that, every Pakistani player received a cash prize of INR 1 crore from their Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif because he was too happy with their performance.
Well, if this is not too much already, Pakistan cricket’s young star Shadab Khan was gifted a Honda Civic Turbo worth INR 17 lacs (28 Lac Pakistani rupee) by car dealer in Islamabad, for his good performance in the final against India. Shadad took the important wicket of Yuvraj Singh.
