Pat Cummins’ Made A Bold Statement On Fans Booing Hardik Pandya

During a match against the Pat Cummins-led side at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Hardik received a cold reception from the fans. He was greeted with “Rohit Rohit” chants from the MI fans. Additionally, his performance as captain failed to make a significant impact, with only one win out of the four games the side has played so far in the season.
Under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy, Mumbai Indians faced a formidable challenge against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The opposition’s batters took control of the game, hitting the bowlers of Mumbai Indians all around the stadium. As a result, SRH also set a record-breaking total of 277 runs on the scoreboard, marking the highest-ever total in the league’s history.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with Sports Tak, Pat Cummins, the SRH’s captain in the IPL 2024, was questioned about the situation surrounding Hardik Pandya. He said:
“I don’t really have much to say to be honest. I have not been in that situation. It is a really tricky situation. Fans here in India are super passionate. I am sure it is just a phase. That’s about all I have thought.”
Pat Cummins was also questioned about Virat Kohli’s century that came against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL match. Kohli scored the slowest century in the league’s history, taking 67 balls to reach the milestone. Despite his remarkable innings, RCB ended up losing the game.
Although Kohli’s century was a commendable feat under pressure, he faced significant criticism for his slow strike rate during the match. However, Pat Cummins refrained from commenting on the matter and simply said: “I don’t have anything to say on that either.”
