The female held in remand in the Prithvi Shaw controversy, Sapna Gill, has alleged that the Indian cricketer slapped her and also hit her on her chest.
On Friday, Sapna Gill was taken to the Andheri court. The court has remanded Sapna in police custody till February 20 for the FIR files against her and 7 of her friends by Shaw and his friend Ashish Yadav.
Police has arrested Gill after Prithvi Shaw filed FIR
They have alleged that Sapna and her friends smashed Yadav’s car with a baseball bat after Shaw had refused for a selfie for the second time that evening, and also that Sapna demanded INR 50,000 to leave the matter.
Sapna was arrested following the incident on Thursday night in Mumbai and claimed before a court on Friday that it was Shaw who hit her.
The Oshiwara police said that a case has been registered against the accused (Sapna) and seven others under Indian Penal Code sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 148 (rioting), 384 (extortion), 506 (criminal intimidation), and others offences.
For the first time since the incident, Sapna talked to the media when she was sitting inside a police car.
With the car window down, the media personnel took this opportunity and asked Sapna various questions.
“There is no fault of mine. I did nothing. All allegations against me are false. Everything is false,” Sapna said.
“He lied that I had asked for 50,000 rupees. I never asked; I myself earn well.”
Alleging assault on Prithvi Shaw, Sapna said, “He slapped me. He hit me on my chest and on my hand. I want justice.“
