Rashid Khan Revealed Why The Last 18 Months Were Very Difficult For Him

Rashid Khan Revealed Why The Last 18 Months Were Very Difficult For Him: Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Delhi Capitals to register their first win of the IPL 2020 campaign, the one that David Warner and co. were waiting anxiously. Sunrisers Hyderabad gave an all-round performance with both bat and ball to outshine Delhi Capitals. This was also the first defeat of Shreyas-Iyer led Delhi Capitals in the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Riding on the brilliant performances of David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, and Kane Williamson, the team was able to put a target score of 162 runs. Later, the heroics of Rashid Khan with the ball, helped his team defend the target.
Rashid Khan picked the big wickets of Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant and won the Man of the Match award for his incredible performance.
Meanwhile, after winning the Man of the Match, Rashid Khan talked about how he prepares himself to bowl in tough conditions like the ones in the match last night. He revealed:
“I don’t put pressure on myself, I just keep myself calm and composed and focus on what I can do. I just go out there and do the basics right, I bowled quicker today, when I started and bowled my first ball, I realized it. You need two-three balls to know what the right pace is. In these conditions, you need to bowl back of a length to the batsmen.”
He also got a little emotional and revealed how the last few months had been tough for him. He revealed how his mother used to be extremely happy after watching his amazing performances in the IPL. He revealed:
“Warner always backs me and tells me that you know what’s best for the team. That’s what we discuss on the field. Tough one and a half years for me, first my dad expired and it took a bit of time for me to come back. My mom was my biggest fan, especially in the IPL and when I was the man of the match, she would always talk to me through the night”
