VIDEO - Rashid Khan Took An Outstanding Catch To Send Back Aiden Markram

On Sunday (March 31), Rashid Khan made a fantastic catch to dismiss Aiden Markram during the IPL 2024 match between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Rashid Khan Took An Outstanding Catch To Send Back Aiden Markram

South African batsman Aiden Markram, who was batting at 17 runs off 18 balls, attempted a big shot to relieve the pressure during the 15th over of the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Facing veteran pacer Umesh Yadav, Markram opted for a chip shot towards long-on.

Despite the initial impression that the ball would land safely, Rashid Khan, stationed at long-on, sprinted and completed a remarkable sliding catch. Despite the ball’s awkward height, Rashid managed to secure the catch, sending Markram back to the pavilion.

In the match, Rashid Khan, known as one of the top spinners globally, demonstrated his skill by dismissing the formidable Heinrich Klaasen, providing his team with a crucial breakthrough. Klaasen, who had scored two rapid half-centuries in his previous matches, including the ongoing one against Gujarat Titans, made a solid beginning in the game.

At the time, Klaasen was batting on 24 runs off 12 deliveries, featuring four boundaries and two sixes. However, his innings was ended by Rashid Khan, who bowled a deceptive wrong ‘un delivery. Speaking about the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first. As of now, SRH has scored 147 runs for the loss of five wickets after 18 overs, with Abdul Samad and Shahbaz Ahmed at the crease.
