India got off to a brilliant start against Australia in the 5 match ODI series after comprehensively defeating them and taking a 1-0 lead. The first half of the match was an entraining one to watch as MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya formed a very solid partnership and bailed out India after it was reduced to 83 for loss of five wickets.
The men in blue were on fire as they scored 281/7 in 50 overs, with Hardik Pandya topping the scorecard with a classy 83. He forged a 118 runs partnership with MS Dhoni, who proved yet again why he is the king of Chennai. He was even given an arousing heart warming welcome by the Chennai crowd, and Dhoni didn’t disappoint them.
After losing 3 wickets with just 11 on board, India recovered well thanks to valiant knocks by Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni. The duo batted with patience and added stability to the innings. They ensured India posted a competitive total of 281.
