Has politics driven a wedge in the family of Ravindra Jadeja? The latest claims and allegations from the cricketer’s father, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, against the India all-rounder and his wife, Rivaba, have stunned the fans.
Anirudhsinh Jadeja, who worked as a security guard in Jamnagar to provide for his family of five – his wife, two daughters, and a son – has reportedly spoken with Dainik Bhaskar, revealing shocking details about Ravindra and Rivaba.
He claims that Rivaba, who is now a politician with the BJP, started troubling him only a few months after his marriage to Ravindra Jadeja in 2016, and not long after that, she and Ravindra started living separately from him.
“Do you want me to tell you one truth? I have absolutely no relation with Ravindra and his wife, Rivaba. We don’t call them, and they don’t call us. The issues started after two or three months of their marriage. I currently live alone in Jamnagar, while Ravindra resides in a separate bungalow of his own. He lives in the same city, but I don’t get to see him. I don’t know what magic his wife has done on him,” Anirudhsinh Jadeja told Dainik Bhaskar.

There certainly is political tension and disagreement in their family. While Rivaba is part of the BJP, Anirudhsinh and his daughter Naynaba are associated with Congress.
Anirudhsinh regrets marrying his son to Rivaba and also believes her family is after his son’s money. He also says that he hasn’t seen his granddaughter for 5 years.
“He is my son, and it burns my heart. I wish I hadn’t gotten him married. It would have been better if he hadn’t become a cricketer. We would not have to go through all this in that case,” Anirudhsinh Jadeja added.
“I don’t want to hide anything. We haven’t even seen the face of our granddaughter in five years. Ravindra’s in-laws manage everything. They interfere in everything. They are making merry now because they have got a bank.”
Ravindra Jadeja has turned out to be every parent's worst nightmare.
His father says, "We shouldn't have made him a cricketer, I don't have any relation with him! Since Rivaba came he only cares about money".

After this interview of his father went viral on Friday morning, Ravindra Jadeja responded to it on Twitter. He tweeted that the claims made by his father are false and an attempt to ruin his wife’s image. He concluded by adding that he, too, has plenty of things to say, but will refrain for now.
Translation of Jadeja’s post: “The recent article in divya bhaskar is rubbish and false and only one-sided. It is to ruin my wife’s image which I condemn and I also have lot of things which I can say publicly but I will refrain from saying that.”
Speaking on the cricket front, Ravindra Jadeja is currently recovering from a hamstring injury that he sustained during the Hyderabad Test against England. He missed the second Test in Vizag and is set to miss at least the third Test, in Rajkot.
