RCB Fans Lost Their Control After AB de Villiers’ Emotional Statement

RCB Fans Lost Their Control After AB de Villiers’s Emotional Statement: Fans were left heartbroken after Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a disappointing exit from the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. The Virat Kohli-starrer side was knocked out from the IPL 2023 playoff race after suffering a six-wicket loss over the defending champions — Gujarat Titans.

Virat Kohli’s Efforts Went In Vain

During the game, the fans witnessed some sensational batting efforts from both sides, however, Gujarat Titans were a better team last night. Unlike what everyone expected, especially after that record-breaking century from the bat of King Kohli, RCB succumbed and therefore fell out of contention for a spot in the playoffs in IPL 2023. It was Kohli’s heir-apparent Shubman Gill, who too smashed his second-straight century as GT wrapped up a stellar win at the Chinnaswamy.

While Kohli’s efforts went in vain, he has been receiving praise from all corners for his stellar win. From cricketers and experts to fans, everyone took to social media and hailed Kohli’s stunning performance.

AB de Villiers’ Tweet Has Gone Viral

Among many, AB de Villiers, a close friend and former teammate of Kohli, was one among those who shared a congratulatory message for Kohli. AB de Villiers praised the former RCB captain’s determination and for standing up in any situation for his side. He wrote:

“Virat is there when we need him!”

He added: “Tough pill to swallow. Well tried RCB. Shubman Gill and the Titans simply too good today,”

After the game, speaking to the broadcasters, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis expressed his disappointment. He said:

Obviously very disappointing. We got a really strong team tonight; excellent innings by Shuman Gill. There was a lot of grip in the second innings. I thought 195-200 was a good score. We needed that wicket of Shubman. From our batting perspective, our top four contributed really well… We missed a few runs consistently throughout the season, especially in the back-end of the innings. Perhaps in the middle [overs], we didn’t get as many wickets as we would have liked. We need a good middle order, and make sure we finish games off. Last season it was DK, but this season it wasn’t to be,”

Many media houses and fans are speculating that AB de Villiers will be a part of RCB’s coaching unit in IPL 2024. It is being reported that he can take up the role of Team’s Mentor in the next season of the Indian Premier League.
