RCB vs LSG: Impact Player List Of Both Teams

For match number 15 of IPL 2023, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are hosting Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

KL Rahul’s LSG won both of their home games, vs DC and SRH, on either side losing to CSK in Chennai and sit 3rd on the points table. A victory today over Royal Challengers Bangalore will take LSG to the top of the points table.

Faf du Plessis’ RCB started their tournament with a bang – an 8-wicket thumping win over the depleted Mumbai Indians. However, they succumbed to a thumping loss at the hands of KKR then.

Both captains have made changes to their teams. For RCB, Wayne Parnell makes his debut while LSG bring back Mark Wood and Avesh Khan, both of whom missed the last game due to injuries.

Impact Player rule in IPL 2023:

The IPL 2023 also sees, for the first time in the competition’s history, the Impact Player rule. The BCCI has decided to introduce this new rule as it believes this will add a new tactical, strategic dimension to the game. A number of team sports in the world like football, rugby, basketball, and baseball allow teams to make tactical substitutions where the substitute is allowed to perform or participate like any other regular player.

Every captain will have to nominate substitutes and any one of them can be used as the team’s Impact Player and can bring that player into play at any time in the match – be it before the start of the second innings of the match; at the end of an over; at the fall of a wicket or when a batter retires.
