India’s young and talented wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is all set to achieve an epic milestone that currently belongs to this idol and the legendary Indian captain MS Dhoni in the longest format of the game. So far, Pant has represented the Indian cricket team in 25 games in the longest format of the game and has a total of 97 dismissals to his names with the gloves.

He could easily become the fastest Indian wicket-keeper to register 100 dismissals to his name and will also become only the sixth Indian ’keeper to do so.

MS Dhoni, who is hailed as one of the greatest keeper-batsman to have ever played for the Indian side holds the record of being the quickest Indian keeper with 100 dismissals as he achieved the same in only 36 Tests.

Moreover, Wriddhiman Saha is also following Dhoni very closely. He achieved the feat in 37 Tests. Apart from him, former India keepers Kiran More, Nayan Mongia, and Syed Kirmani complete the elite list of wicket-keepers, having reached the milestone in 39, 41, and 42 Tests, respectively.

Meanwhile, if Rishabh Pant, who was rested for the two-match Test series against the New Zealand side, gets a chance to play for the Indian side in the upcoming three-match Test series, he could easily break the record of MS Dhoni.
