Mayank Agarwal Has Been Called Up By The BCCI
Rohit Sharma was a part of the Indian squad in the recently concluded tour game against Leicestershire. On the last day of the game, Rohit didn’t take part in the game and later it was revealed that he has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and was asked to stay in isolation.
Meanwhile, Mayank Agarwal has been called up for the upcoming Test match as cover for Rohit Sharma. Mayank was initially left out of the Indian squad, however, an injury to KL Rahul and doubts over Rohit’s availability has now opened the doors for the Karnataka opener. He will join the squad on Monday evening.

The Indian side is already without the services of KL Rahul, who is nursing an injury. If Rohit is also unavailable, Mayank is expected to open the game with Shubman Gill during the Test.
On Monday, England announced their 15-men squad for the upcoming Test match.
