The Indian cricket team is all set to take on England for the much-awaited fifth and final Test match at Edgbaston. Ahead of the upcoming game, the Indian cricket team received a major blow as captain Rohit Sharma tested positive for COVID-19.

Samaira Gave A Big Health Update Of Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is currently under quarantine and is on his way to recovery. However, it is still uncertain whether Rohit will be fit enough to lead the Indian side.

Now, with all the focus on the Indian captain’s recovery ahead of the Test, everyone is curious to know about his health. A big health update was provided by Rohit’s daughter Samaira after she was asked by reporters in the UK about her father.

Yes, the reporters in the UK asked Samaira about what Rohit is doing. Responding to which, innocent, Samaira revealed that her father is resting in the room. The video of the same has been going viral on the internet and has left everyone in awe of Samaira’s innocence.

Mayank Agarwal Has Been Called Up By The BCCI

Rohit Sharma was a part of the Indian squad in the recently concluded tour game against Leicestershire. On the last day of the game, Rohit didn’t take part in the game and later it was revealed that he has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and was asked to stay in isolation.

Meanwhile, Mayank Agarwal has been called up for the upcoming Test match as cover for Rohit Sharma. Mayank was initially left out of the Indian squad, however, an injury to KL Rahul and doubts over Rohit’s availability has now opened the doors for the Karnataka opener. He will join the squad on Monday evening.

The Indian side is already without the services of KL Rahul, who is nursing an injury. If Rohit is also unavailable, Mayank is expected to open the game with Shubman Gill during the Test.

On Monday, England announced their 15-men squad for the upcoming Test match.
