Indian captain Rohit Sharma has backed the young and talented bowler from Jammu and Kashmir, Umran Malik, who has become one of the most talked-about players off lately. Umran is one of the most exciting talents in Indian cricket.

Umran Malik Made His Third International Appearance

Umran Malik came into the limelight in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, all thanks to his exceptional performances. He picked up 22 wickets from 14 games, emerging as the highest wicket-taker for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tournament. However, it was his raw pace and ability to bowl consistently at over 150 kmph that impressed one and all.

All thanks to his terrific performances, he received his national call-up for the ongoing T20I series against South Africa. However, there he didn’t get the opportunity to showcase his talent.

He was again selected for the T20I series against Ireland, where he made his debut and played in both games. Umran made his third appearance in the national jersey as he was selected for the final match of the 3-match series against England.
