Ahead of the tournament, the Indian captain visited the city of Tirupati with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, and daughter Samaira Sharma. Notably, the Asia Cup 2023 will play a big role in preparation for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023, which will kickstart on October 5th. Rohit Sharma will take on the role of captain for the first time in this mega event, talking about it at a recent event, Rohit Sharma said:
“Honestly, I have never won a (50 overs) World Cup, it’s a dream to win a World Cup and to be here fighting for it nothing makes me happier than that. You don’t get World Cups on a platter, you have to really work hard and that is what we have been doing all these years from 2011 till now we all are fighting for it,”
