They say that some matches are made by the God himself and the same can be said about the Indian captain Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh. They are one of the most loved and popular couples in India.
Ritika Sajdeh has been a constant support for Rohit Sharma in the stands whenever he plays for the Indian cricket team and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Moreover, she keeps her fingers crossed until her husband is in the middle and keeps appreciating him and the other players during the game.
Ritika has a habit of keeping her fingers crossed when her husband is at the crease. She has been following the habit ever since the couple got married in December 2015. Sharma calls Sajdeh his “lucky charm” and gives her a lot of credit for his success.
Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajeh’s Love Story:
Ritika, who is a sports event manager by profession, also happens to be the rakhi sister of former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh. It is believed that Rohit and Ritika first met for an ad shoot and the latter used to manage the former. In fact, Yuvraj had warned Rohit to maintain distance from his rakhi sister but destiny had other plans.
The relationship between Rohit and Ritika started as a friendship as the duo spent more and more time together, which turned into love. Ritika used to manage Rohit’s cricket engagement initially but the two eventually fell in love and started dating each other. After a period of six years, the Indian batter surprised his lady love by proposing to her at the Borivali Sports Club, Mumbai, the same place where he started his cricketing career at the age of 11.
Rohit and Ritika got engaged on June 03, 2015, and soon after announcing their union, the duo exchanged rings at a grand engagement party.
But do you know Sharma, who spent his childhood in Borivali, bought a house worth a whopping INR 30 crore just months after getting engaged to Sajdeh.
