The batters failed to adjust to the slow and turning wickets and were trapped in every game. They had a dismal batting performance which is quite a humiliation for them. However, it is not just one series. Team India have struggled to get going on turning tracks in both ODIs and Tests. Sharma pointed out that playing in the domestic circuit is crucial for developing the skills and resilience needed to succeed at the international level.

    Rohit Sharma said, “It’s very important to play domestic cricket. We mainly pick players for Tests and ODIs from domestic circuit. Our domestic cricket is the backbone of Indian cricket”.

They were sensational with the ball in this series and also did get the runs on the board in all the three matches. Indian batters failed miserably against the crafty Sri Lankan spinners in the run-chase in all the three matches.
