India and Rajasthan Royals‘ young star Riyan Parag endured yet another failure with the bat in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. Riyan failed again to mark an impact with the bat as he was dismissed cheaply during Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2023 clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday, April 8.
Riyan Parag Failed Again To Perform
Parag’s campaign in the ongoing tournament is getting worse with every passing day. This was for the third time in a row that Parag failed with the bat.
Parag, who walked out to bat at no.4, had a good chance to prove his worth, considering that there were almost 20 overs still left in the game. However, Parag threw away another opportunity given to him as he tried to play a lofted shot over the leg side of Rovman Powell’s bowling.
Parag failed to make any connection, and the ball just shattered the stumps. Parag went back with a disappointing score of just seven runs from 11 deliveries. He had the perfect opportunity to bounce back but he failed miserably.
Earlier, Parag, who is the designated finisher of the team failed against Punjab Kings and the Royals eventually ended up losing the game by 5 runs. During his knock of 20 runs, he smashed 2 sixes and a four in the first 11 balls he faced.
