RR vs LSG: Fans Troll BCCI After Spidercam Cable Breaks And Fall Downs; Match Was Stopped

The Rajasthan Royals vs Lucknow Super Giants (RR vs LSG) match was halted for a considerable period of time because of the spidercam cable falling down in the first over of the match itself.

LSG and RR got their IPL 2024 campaign underway on Sunday afternoon at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bat first.

The match was started on time, however, after only two balls of the first over, the match had to be stopped for a while because the cable of one of the spidercams had fallen after breaking. This caused a lengthy delay in the resumption of play.

The ground technical team gave their best to get the match going once again quickly. However, because of this unexpected mishap with the technicality of the cable of the spidercam, it even took the experts some time. This frustrated the fans and the players.

Fans took to Twitter to troll the IPL and BCCI as the spidercam cable broke and fell on the ground, causing a delay in the match. Later on, there was also another delay when the zing bails didn’t work properly.

Sanju Samson said: “We would like to bat first today. Looks like a good batting wicket, we were ok to do both, but we’ve a different combination today. Coming back to Jaipur gives positive vibes in the dressing room. Riyan Parag will be our number 4, Jos, Hetty, Boult are there – Powell could come in as an impact player.”

Lucknow Super Giants (Playing XI): KL Rahul(c), Quinton de Kock(w), Devdutt Padikkal, Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, Krunal Pandya, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Naveen-ul-Haq, Yash Thakur
